Alpha+
Alpha+ History
Team Alpha+ was started in 2007 by Mr. Ed Katz, a science teacher at our local Bonners Ferry High School, in an attempt to catalyze interest in engineering and science. He succeeded; and over time, Team 2130 has become much more than a group of students building a robot. In 2007, Team 2130 competed in the Portland Regional and proudly walked home with the Rookie Inspiration Award. During the 2008 Portland Region we watched in dismay as our robot Leo tipped in the quarter-finals. And in 2009 Team Alpha Plus struggled with penalties taking home only our experience. Now that we are no longer rookies, our team has even higher hopes for the 2010 Competition. Although we started out small, with around 16 members, Team Alpha+ has grown to 30+ students and as a recently labeled veteran team, we plan to dominate this years competition.
